    XP image resizer toy

I can't get this to work, whatever I do. When I right click on an image and click 'resize' - whatever format the image is in - I just get a message that it couldn't be done.
Can anyone explain why and help me make it work?

Been using this for a while and not had any problems.

Wondering if "image resizer" runs as a "SYSTEM" process and you have the system in security properties for the images but not sure?

Registering the top DLL worked for me but you may have to register the botttom one aswell.

    regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

    regsvr32 phototoys.dll

What is the source of the images? I've found it craps out (for want of a better phrase!) on a lot of images imported from mobiles and el cheapo cameras/webcams... Gave up shouting at it and use VSO Image Resizer instead here...

I seem to remember an XP Home install i had on an old laptop that the powertoy just stopped working. Right click -> Resize Image -> nothing. No reinstalling etc fixed it and I just ended up using the aforementioned VSO

    DLL registering didn't work
Will try the repair but don't hold out a lot of hope as I only downloaded it this morning!
The images are mostly from reasonable cameras.
