GPO Prevents Explorer Windows Closing...?
I decided to make a few 'updates' to our 'Secure' GPO, However, since I have done this, whoever logs into an AD machine with that policy enforced is then unable to close explorer windows, I have gone through the 'Secure GPO' report etc and thought I had found the resolution, but....no! Does anyone know which setting configures this? or is there a conflict which could be taken place between any of the GPO's?
Thankfully this is only affecting my 'Test; account at the moment, as i backed the previous GPO up.

Have you tried this one:
User Config > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Browser Menus : File Menu: Disable closing the browser and Explorer windows
Prevents users from closing Microsoft Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.
If you enable this policy, the Close command on the File menu will appear dimmed.
If you disable this policy or do not configure it, users are not prevented from closing the browser or Windows Explorer.
Note: The Close button in the top right corner of the program will not work; if users click the Close button, they will be informed that the command is not available.

That has worked spot on....much appreciated, I was on hours this morning trying to resolve that, I saw the internet explorer drop down and stupidly dismissed it. Thanks again.
The duplicate thread was a result of having been working on this since 6am this morning.
