    Vista and Google

I recently bought a laptop - Sony Vaio - with Vista pre-installed. It was al to much hassle for me to install XP as it involved repackaging the setup files etc...

So i've stuck with Vista and im pretty happy with it so last night i finally sat down and installed all the software i need.

Before i could complete all the installations i started getting pop-ups from IE and also searching using google staopped working. Strange i know but using firefox i just cant search for anthing on Google? I get the search page but as sooon as i enter a search term...Nothing! IE works but Firefox doesnt....

    Any ideas?

Long shot but maybe the security settings on FF have changed to prevent posting of data to google.

Have you tried installing the latest version of FF and verifying your firewall settings?
