Visually Impared Children + HOWTO Questions
Hi guys,
I need some help/advice on best practices please.
Situation:
Primarys School has laptops and desktops, all XP pro +win2k3 server with AD.
School has "a few" visually impared pupils.
IT Co-ordinator has asked me to make all icons a larger size.
Now in XP Pro I know you can alter this on a per user basis, but does anyone know a way to do this through AD? Or a better way of doing it.
I am thinking (as I can t find AD option) that logging on as each user and changing the icons for that user (we use roaming profiles) will be the best/easiest option.
Any advice/ideas would be welcome.
Thanks,
Anton

Your probably going to end up setting the roaming profile yourself I would have thought unless you can hunt down all the relevant reg keys and make them into some kind of logon script. You could try using regmon for this I suppose.
Just depends which way you want to try and tackle it.

you might want to look at calling rez.exe through a script to change screen resolution as well.

I have a util lurking on here somewhere that can change the screen res on a "per session" basis that I stick in the user areas of kids that "need" it. I can dig it out if you want to have a play.
