    Sharepoint Outlook Web Access

I'm implementing a sharepoint solution as our VLP Capita are in soon to add their fully functioning webparts to sharepoint 2007 I have Moodle currently and thankfully there is a moodle webparts for that too. I run an IMAP email system which is not exchange is there any way of getting outlook web access to work with this? Does anyone know of a web part that could give me a web mail front end that can access an IMAP server?

    Wes

The OWA webparts that are built in to MOSS 2007 are just page views and pull the page from the OWA site.

If you have another web based email system you could add a page viewer web part to the site/page and add the URL to the web part.

I'm in pretty much the same boat actually. Our VLE provider (LP+) provides email but it seems pretty pathetic 20MB storage limit, for example. We get a perfectly usable mail system "free" from our LEA which isn't Exchange based (Squirrelmail) but works perfectly well with Outlook and Outlook Express when used with an IMAP connection.

Part of the plan for the use of the VLE is to have as much stuff as possible as a "Single sign on", so just using a page viewer web part to connect via the usual webmail interface doesn't really help.

What I could do with is a web part capable of displaying an inbox and subfolders and sending messages, that can store login details to connect to the LEA mail server by IMAP. I don't need anything as complicated as Outlook Web Access, just a simple inbox really.

    Any ideas anyone?

Just use a standard web page webpart. The only downside is you would have to log in each time separately for the webmail.

Otherwise install exchange, its active directory integrated so makes single sign ons alot easier.
