    Redirected Start Menu Icon Order

Just testing out mandatory profiles \ redirected start menu & desktop for our teaching PCs at the moment. Got BGInfo running nicely as well so all good except for one minor but irritating bug...

When I put items in the redirected start menu folder all appear in alphabetical order apart from 2 icons that aren't in a program group (IE and Media Player). Tried taking the icons out, copying em back in so in theory they should sit at the bottom of the list, which they do until next reboot and they're back up the top again above Accessories

I could just take em out but would prefer to keep there as that's a standard place for the IE icon to be...

    Any ideas?

Edit: if I rename the icons to 1. Internet Explorer and 2. Windows Media Player they sit at the bottom as they should, very odd! Remember that trick from the Win98 days lol

(also have the annoying Outlook Express setting up profile box on logon but seems that can't be beaten so will have to live with it coming up for a second or so each logon)

IIRC it's about the desktop.ini file in the folder - this saves the layout of the folder.

I use this logon script to order the start menu

    Code:
    REG DELETE HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder /f
    The script format is .bat

Cheers for that, seems to be working - I had a script similar to that a while back but I think it needed admin rights as it referenced the machine section of registry rather than current user (which I guess a non admin still has rights to)
