msi deployments

when do you deploy software (msi/ad/etc)? just whenever or at specific times, things like java and acrobat updates. do you do all of them or just the odd ones ocassionally. new software. i can scale up the install from a few to many. upgrade deployments, I dont quite see how its not all or none.

Generally speaking plugins such as Java and Adobe Reader are small, so anytime is appropriate. I think it also depends on how fast your network setup and workstations are too.

If you were to install a large application, such as Corel, then the install would have to be planned.
