Installing papercut.
Hi.
Im thinking of wacking papercut on our admin network as well as our curriculum network.
As i didnt install it on our curric (before i started), im a little unsure as to how to install it on the admin network.
Is it literally just a case of installing it and configuring the groups/printers and it does the rest in regards to clients? or is there more too it than that?
Thanks.

Didnt manage to do that.
But managed to install it regardless.
Any idea how i can hide the box the pops up top right?
Ive got it disabled on the curric, but the admin it still appears.
Its odd, because if your part of a certain group that requires pin code access on curric, the box top right disappears.
But on this new admin setup, it doesnt?
Ideas?

Have you setup either of these?
More details here on the client tool

21st March 2008, 11:07 AM #6 With Print Manager Plus it's very similar. You have a Management Console on the server which communicates with Active Directory and allows you to configure group defaults and settings for individual users (optional).
Then by installing a small client on the workstation, this automatically communicates with the database and displays remaining credit and number of print jobs performed.
I've never used Papercut, but I am guessing the principle should be the same. You'll need to install the client for admin users then configure their credit limit.

you can install the client software it will appear if asked to by the server as you can setup what happens when a user prints. it can automaticallycharge to personal account or have a pop up appear.
check out "Print account selection" under a user
