SMARTFTP issues
Hi
I am trying FTPing from work onto one of our website hosting people. I really can't get to connect at all, it goes as far as connected to their server but then it tells me that the host server cancelled the operation.
I know there is no fault on the host server as i can connect fine from home using smartftp, its just from work.
We use EMBC which is now synetrix, and they have a proxy settings. Does anyone know how to get around this?
Is there a setting i need to change on my FTP software?

Connection to Synetrix server works no problem for us WITHOUT using the proxy.

I just installed SMARTFTP and i guess its just a question of putting the host name then the username and password. Is that correct? Or do i have to configure the FTP software?

18th March 2008, 10:19 AM #8 No configuration needed if you're connecting to an internal (internal to EMBC) hostname.
N:\>ftp web2.embc.uk.com
Connected to web2.embc.uk.com.
220 Microsoft FTP Service
User (web2.embc.uk.com

none)):
At the most basic level, it works here.
