    new laptop gets this logon error

    got a new acer laptop, added to the domain and ran windows up dates ect started installing some software, when i came to it this morning and tried loging on at the domain adminstrator i got this message;

    "the system cannot log you on due to the following error:

    insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.

    contact systems administrator."

    logs on as local administrator fine, anyone any ideas??

    sounds like something is hogging the memory.

    go to start > run > msconfig and under start-up & then services tab kill things off such as QuickTime that you don’t need.

    It does sound profile related however, as the local admin logs on fine. Surely Quicktime etc would be loaded by the local admin account

    did a quick defrag and check disk and now seems fine, weird
