No the question is does the uninstall actually work if you want to uninstall it

    Tell me about it

I have beta 1 installed and it won't let me install beta 2 until I uninstall the first one. It fails to uninstall of course.

I've had a go at home with v7 beta. Trying to get used to the tabs. Not sure what the 'verifying this website' is all about on the bottom bar.

Verifiying is about checking if the site is a phising site. You can also "report" sites as phising sites... which sounds dangerous to me!

Installed it last night on my laptop. Looks great.

One issue is that it stops any software working that uses the old pre v7 browser activex control in software.

The Uninstall works very well. Although, my laptop was freshly installed yesterday, and there was very little on it. It puts v6 back on.

    Re: IE7 Public Beta

Beta1 caused my PC to randomly restart, however Beta2 never suffered from this problem. It's a nice update, but other than an updated GUI, the phishing filter and tabs, it's not that different to IE6 functionality wise.

I can put up with the address bar at the top, but without the File Menu (or Classic Menu as MS calls it), I found it a little frustrating and had to re-enable it.

I've now uninstalled IE7 and returned back to good ol' IE6 SP2. I find it much quicker and colourful. IE7 seems a bit dull in comparison. The "Testing Purposes Only" writing was still plastered on the bottom right of my desktop despite uninstalling IE7. I then found out you need to delete the Testing Root Certificate through the MMC console, reboot and it's now disappeared.
