Checked my WSUS server this morning to make sure all is well.. and it was saying that there were 2 new products available so I had a look to see what they were..
Think one of them was System Center Virtual Machine Manager
But this one caught my eye..
Windows Internet Explorer 8 Dynamic Installer..
Didn't even know IE8 was at a Beta/CTP stage let along that it could be available via WSUS..

27th February 2008, 10:23 AM #3 We haven't rolled out IE7 yet!

27th February 2008, 10:50 AM #4 I didn't think IE6 was still getting security updates?

27th February 2008, 11:15 AM #5 IE7 would have gone in last week - but other panics took over. It's going in this weekend.

AARRGHHH!!
i havent got used to this 'useless' version of explorer/mozilla, its just awful, i use i.e6 , all the pupils like it , and its easy to use for children, and anyone visually impared.
BUT then micros@ft hasn't got a clue what/who uses their machines, and doesn't give a s*it anyway.

27th February 2008, 10:13 PM #9 On RM networks, you must download IE7 separately from the RM website and then distribute it.
As far as I'm aware, IE6 is still getting security updates. IE6 and IE7 both received a security rollup update in February 2008.
It'll be interesting to see if MS include Silverlight with IE8 or at the very least, make it optional to install - just as IE7 allows you optionally to download and install the latest Malicious Software Removal Tool.

29th February 2008, 04:44 PM #10 @ Geoff , IE6 is a part of Windows XP and will receive updates untill XP is retired approx 2011-13 i think, this is why even I.E 5 still receives updates due to it being an OS component of Windows 2000 which will be retired approx 2010. (by retired i mean end of extended support)
I wonder if IE8 will be released for XP or will it be Vista/Windows 7 only.

2nd March 2008, 07:28 PM #11 I'm 99% confident IE8 will be released for XP. Windows XP will still be Microsoft's No.1 OS for quite some time. Vista is slowly growing in popularity, but still has problems as we all know!
Limiting the release of IE8 to just Vista would without a doubt damage Microsoft's dominance in the browser market.
