XP SP3 ever?

Well well we have another RC i get the feeling they're trying to string this out forever, how much testing does it need considering it's mainly a collection of already released patches?

I don't think XP SP3 will be abandoned, it is a much needed Service Pack. It wouldn't surprise me if mid 2008 would be a more realistic release date.

It may well be like Vista SP1 which is actually the last RC from the close private beta as no changs were made on that last RC.

Yeh i have no doubt that it will turn up but they seem to be stringing it out for as long as possible.

According to this the formal release of vistasp1 isn't until mid march.

Correct, but as a member of the closed beta I know otherwise and its been RTM'd and comes out mid march.

yes, thats what the link said. I suspect xpsp3 won't be RTM'd just a formal release.
