I want to give staff access tot student home directories as more and more staff want to mark work electronically. I want ot set the permissions with cacls. Now.........my current scripts give staff modify on all the student home directory. I want to limit this to just files and not Folders, sub folders and files.
First off if i set it for just files does this mean they can only edit files and not folders? Also if i set it to just files does it mean files in the whole of the student home directory or just in the root of the it?
Also what command would i use with cacls?
I use STAFF:Ccurrently but how would i set his for just files only?

At secondary level you are on very dodgy ground if staff can modify students' course work.

Seems easier and safer.
