I have the following seting
User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Internet Explorer/Browser menus\Disable Save this program to disk option : enabled and it is working fine both on the staff and pupil GPO.
My Head of ICT wants me let staff download cetianfiel types ie:PDF and certain video files from the BBC archives. IS there a way this can be done in GPO
We also run ISA 2000 if thats any help.

If you allow the use of 'Save As...' in the Staff GPO you can then use ISA to prevent the download of certain files (not sure if allow certain files is an option but you really only need to be blocking executables, MP3, etc.).
