i am trying to find the ie7 browsing history file. in ie6 it was in 'local settings\history\history.ie6' but its not there unser ie7.
anyone shed any light?

25th January 2008, 09:50 AM #2 Tools --> Internet Options --> Browsing history section ( which is on the general tab ) Then click on the settings button and it should show current location there. If thats what you mean.

thanks gecko that gives the temp int files but what i am really after is the browsing history.

25th January 2008, 11:44 AM #5 Found it! it was a hidden file. had to un-hide the system folders within folder options to see it. it doesn't have the history.ie5 file within now goes straight into today/last week etc.

i was after the browsing history file. in ie6/5 etc it lives in C:\Documents and Settings\Profilename\Local Settings\History\History.IE5.
in ie7 it appears that it lives in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\History
