We just buy them outright for about £31 each from Ramesys, though I think Pugh are quite cheap too.

We paid £14.13 per license this year, for 183 licenses. And we use the Schools agreement.

Also, you can't get office with eLCs as they are only for use on educational software.

We've used Ramesys in the past for XP pro and Office licenses. They were good value, I'd recommend them (we are definately going to be using them again to get offce 2007 lisences soon!)

Thats a bit odd, my core desktop license was closer to £25 with 400 clients!

You didn't get office on its own did you?

Yep, it worked out cheaper for us to break the bits down for some reason (or so we were told by our suppliers).

    Really?

That's good, I always felt immensly ripped off when they charged £20 for media and all you got was a crappy copied CD!

Plus I like the holographic CDs that Microsoft do...

It wasn't ramesys was it? The screwed mine up and did it as separate products too (not that that was what I ordered - it meant I was missing lots of stuff on the vol licensing page)

What was the total cost (rough idea, don't need to be too specific )

    Windows Upgrade
    Office
    Windows CAL
    Exchange CAL

Nope, it was TME (SW) Ltd.

    The costs were:

    Windows - 10.52
    Office Enterprise - 14.13
    CAL - 1.23

So, 25.88 per machine. I got 3 quotes for the best solution and they came out best. However, I hadn't looked at Pugh, Academia or Ramesys then. So next year may be different!

And we don't use exchange in school.
