    windows xp home

We currently have a school laptop that has xp home on it, whats the best, legal (obviously) and most economical way to obtain xp pro or even vista business. There's no upgrade route is there that I can get educational priced software for it is there?

XP Pro Upgrade is available under the MOLP, as is Vista Business. Both about the same price

You'd have to check if XP Home is a valid route to Vista Business though...

Does your school not own a genuine copy of XP Pro SP2?

We get ours through the LEA for around £38. I just fax over an order and that's it. They send me a copy of the licence agreement. Simple as that.

All our xp pro licences are oem. Is xp home a valid route to xp pro, I'd rather keep it as xp.
