I have an excel problem that comes under the "bit bloody odd" classification
Here is a nice healthy Excel window. Please note the labels on the columns, normal A, B, C etc

Here is a weird Excel window on a Virtual PC which opened a spreadsheet created in Assesment Manager (always laugh when I install SIMS and see assman.exe come up :P)

Please note the labels on these columns, they're 1, 2, 3, 4 etc and also please note the cell name. I don't know if Assessment Manager is the cause of this but whatever it is, its screwing a lot of people up as their cell forumlae no longer work. Does anyone have an idea how to fix it? As far as I can make out Excel does not have a default template like Word so I can't delete it and see if that fixes it.
This has happened on two versions of Excel, Excel 2000 and 2003.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Norphy
/edit Whatever it is, it appears to be a per user thing so if need be I could delete their roaming profiles to fix it. However that is going a bit too far

Tools -> Options -> General. R1C1 reference style
Untick it
