    Recovery software....

I know there are a few posts already, not having much luck though....

I want to recover data from my harddrive, I have put it alongside another hd in another machine.

I've opened the hd in the other machine where I want to get my data back from & its empty.

I've run disk inspector & the files are there.

Could anyone recommend a good free piece of recovery software?

I've used PC Inspector Smart Recovery freeware to recover pictures - there's a file recovery program too. It might be worth a try.

I'd recommend GetDataBack by Runtime Software. It isn't free but it isn't expensive either. I have a registered copy and it's saved my bacon on more than one occasion.

    Sorry about that

The photo recovery module was brilliant when I recovered some Ruby Wedding Pics from a camera card for a teacher at work. Good luck

Thats okay, I used zero assumption for some digital camera photos as well, & it works a treat!

This is coming from someone who does Data Recovery daily.

The best software for FAT/NTFS based recoveries are

    R-Studio (best)
    GetDataBack
    RecoverMyFiles

and you can get these in the usual places
