That's what I thought by looking at it. It doesn't seem very intuitive though, so I've been unable to find the bit that will add NovaT to ClassTeach. If anyone knows were it is, I'd be more than happy.
    Cheers.

Thanks BWI-Systems - forgot that bit. "We" [cheers Nath! ] have found that if you give the user full permissions to the SIMS folder there's no need to set any other permissions - I hated that you used to have to make users local administrators - not very good I think.

    How about this:

run system manager in SIMS .net
focus > group > Class Teacher > Group Permissions > Add Permissions To Group [2nd button down on the right] > expand 'Curriculum' > enable NovaT

    Re: Adding shortcuts to Sims.net

SIMS.net - I was so confussed with the permissions set of the SIMS modules and their weird linking to what users can actually do, that I requested a permissions matrix. I have that document, an XLS spreadsheet of about 112K.

If there is some way to get this to you guys n gals... then let me know.

    SIMS.net permissions matrix

Somewhere in the great ether that is everywhere, a download exists to satiate your wildest imaginings of the SIMS.net permissions matrix. It is an ever changing 4 dimensional time-slot of transitional exponential dataset - so please don't say 'I told you so!'

I can't beleive that no sims guy (in powys at least) as mentioned about just giving full permissions to the SIMS dir on C! I thought it was fairly obvious (*head stops fitting thru the door lol*) when we started switching to XP pc's on the admin network and I set up the new 2k3 admin domain.

I thought, there's no way I'm letting the sods have administrator access to accidentally lose half their shortcuts (or other lovely ways to mess everything up and drive me around the bend hehe) - they are standard domain users that cant see/access the C & CD drive, cannot install stuff, and can't shut the pc's off - SIMS's (amazingly) still works.

    Good init?

    Cheers,
    N.
