Hello All
Does anyone know if you can make a Global Distribution Group a member of an exisiting Global Security Group?
I have a complicated setup where our unix based proxy server forwards emails to Exchange based on security group membership - works for individual mailboxes, but not the distribution groups.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Distribution Group member of Security Group Headache!
A GSG can be part of a Distribution Group I know for certain... (since I set one up recently)
I'm not 100% sure whether a Distribution Group can be part of Security Group though. I don't think it can because I remember going insane trying to get two groups to join each other.
It's worth noting that Security Groups are able to be assigned an Email Address via Exchange as well as Distribution - you then get the flexibility of having the same group updated when people leave that department, they can't get to its resources.

Sorry for the delay
To add a distribution group as a member of security group I had to rise a domain funcional level fom "Windows 2000 mixed" (the default in Windows Server 2003)
to "Windows Server 2003".
