    My only thought is when WSUS has new updates to deploy, it automatically specifies a date and time the hotfixes must be installed by. If the system has been updated but not rebooted it will reboot the workstation/server by prompting a 5 minute countdown.

    This is why I exclude servers from WSUS and patch them manually. I'll reboot them when I feel like MS.
