NAP looks good. Now we just have to wait until Windows 2k8 comes out to be able to make use of it.

Yup looks good was reading some info on it the other week.. downloaded it last night gonna install it today

Just downloading it now going to install it on my laptop in minute. As its my last day I don't care if it breaks it.
I posted this in the other SP3 thread, i've not really seen any issues so far:
It did seem to launch a couple of command windows when i first logged on after a reboot, not really sure what it was doing but i wonder how they would of coped if i'd used a restricted account rather than a local admin.
I do see an Event ID 10016 ater each reboot i'm not sure what that is yet
DCOM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{DCBCA92E-7DBE-4EDA-8B7B-3AAEA4DD412B}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
Also,
Rasman
Event ID 825
The Network Access Protection (NAP) enforcement client failed to register with the Network Access Protection Agent (NAPAgent) service. Some network services or resources might not be available. If the problem persists, disconnect and retry the remote access connection or contact the administrator for the remote access server.
I assume that's because i don't have a 2008 server with NAP running.
oh and Live Messenger had to go through a repair process.
Yes, I'm getting the same DCOM error which, sometimes, hangs my machine on bootup.Originally Posted by cookie_monster
