    Remote Reg Editing

    Hi All,

i need to edit a registry key to add ".old" to the end of it on a number of domain machines.

Could anyone let me know how best to go about this? I was thinking GPO or script to trigger a .reg file.

The key in questions is -
    HKU\S-1-5-20\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlat form

    needs to become

    HKU\S-1-5-20\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlat form.old

    Any help much appreciated.

You can do it through Group Policy Preferences.

Here's the link to Microsoft's article about it.

    Configure a Registry Item
