I have just recently imaged a room of Intel PC's. I have put the chipset drivers on from the Motherboard website. Everything appeared to be fine but now when anyone puts a USB pen in (tried 2 types of pen) they get prompted for admin username and password???
What has caused this, I know these USB pens worked fine before then.
I tried a quick fix by giving users modify access to C:\Windows\inf\usbstor.inf but this made no difference.

It needs admin priv's in order to set up the device drivers. There are, IIRC, loads of threads on this topic in the forum.

Re: USB pens asking for admin password after new RIS image.
I have the same problem.
There are a number of suggestions in this thread http://www.edugeek.net/index.php?nam...wtopic&t=13419
It seems my problem is down to a known issue with a bit of music software, but one of the other suggested solutions may solve your problem.
