Wierd Publisher 2003 saving & opening problem

Hello,
can any one help?
in the ict room there are 11 comuters loged on under the same account. they have the same home folder and inside are different types of filles (doc, pub, mp3) pub files show in all the folders appart from 1 (derek) they are pub files in their because if you open publisher then go to open in will show the files, BUT if you go through the home folder it shows nothing in the folder.
i have went into folder options and selected show hidden files and folders and still no luck, i also went onto the server and had a look on the actual folder and even the server didn't show the files.
all the properties on "derek" are set the same as the other folders and the other folder do display publisher files, i have reinstalled office on the machine but it still happens and it also happens to all the other computers that log on under this login.
PLEASE HELP!

Has "Derek" been playing about with file attributes to make the files invisible not the folder ??
