Diary Software
Hey all,
Our cover manager is after some software that will enable him to record absences in a diary stored on the computer. The software HAS to be open source, as it will be used by so little people, that we don't want to pay for it!!
As the people who will look at it are in seperate offices (Head's PA and Cover Manager) obviously we would like it so that it all runs off a database that they both can access.
Has anyone needed to use software like this before, and can point me in the right direction? I have googled it, and we have tried a couple, but none that work how we want them to!
TIA
Matt

We use a public folder in exchange that the cover supervisor fills in.

Re: Diary Software
My initial thought was something like 'Lotus Organiser' (a little old school I know). But as your requirements state open source then I would recommend Mozilla Sunbird. It's a simple calendar application that allows you to make entries in a diary interface. It may be a bit much for what you want but its definitely worth a look:

Our cover person, deputy head and business manager all use a shared excel workbook.
