Hi all, this has probably been discussed before but if you have a personalised wallpaper to school can you post it for us all to see?
which appears on all desktops?

We just use the default RM CC3 backgrounds.
Plain old boring default Windows Blue. Thought of creating a school background, but not got around to it yet.
admin account has black back ground, teachers backgroud is gray, and the kids is purple. makes it nice and easy at a glance to see if billy no mates is logged on as pupil or staff or worse administrator :-)

This is ours. Designed it myself in the summer, because I was fed up with boring old blue! Got it on all our machines as the default wallpaper, and behind the login window too. Looks very good when in use, although it's never going to win any design award.
We opted not to put the school badge on, as ours is a bloody awkward shape!
It's held locally on the C:\ drive of the machine, allowing me to have different resolution versions for each type of machine. I also have a script that checks a network share for a new version at machine startup, so it's fairly easy to change if we want to.

Black for teachers
Blue or Green for pupils (Depends upon school)
Both with school logo on a 640x120 graphic centered (fits all desktops)![]()

Simon

I will post one of ours tomorrow, we customise ours depending on the user.
For example year 7s will get "2007 student" and the head gets "Headteacher".
I am going to suggest a special one for Christmas, what are your thoughts on that?
Z

We always customise our wallpaper at christmas, and the header of our intranet and helpdesk system.

Would it be possible to show me an example of one please?
Z

We always put a picture of Santa emptying his sack on the screens at xmas.....

We use the school crest on the desktop for the pupil accounts and staff can customise their own. The admin account has the standard bliss background.
Having a xmas'y desktop could be nice though - I might do that.
I was asked to produce two desktop backgrounds for my school. I produced a staff one and a student one. Both of which underwent many revisions at the request from the head of ICT until they were exactly as he wanted.
They looked both professional and they details on contacting ICT services for students and staff on the separate files.
A few months after i leave, they replace them with some sh*tty one for everyone that looks as if it's been done in mspaint and is a VERY poor copy of mine...same layout, similar content with regards to words. I found it quite offensive to be honest that they find that p*ss poor copy a better version than I produced after a few months of revising it down to an exact spec from the HoD.

Sounds a bit dodgey if you ask me . . . . .Originally Posted by tech_guy

For some reason, they won't let me.
This is ours..
