I have some Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 laptops which have SATA drives. I have come to copy a RIS image over to them and it complains there is no hard drive found. I know there is as it boots fron HD if i want it to . I have checked Toshiba support and there is a storage manager driver but the Toshiba site is as slow as hell at the moment.
Do any of you have to add SATA driver to yur RIS images the way yiou sometimes have to add odd NIC drivers.
Can someone give advice help on this please?

Because the disk controller is needed at the very start in the text mode portion of the setup it is a little more involved to add. The Microsoft documentation is here http://technet2.microsoft.com/window....mspx?mfr=true
There is a step by step for modding a cd which I believe is the same here http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.c...id=1703&page=5

Just got it working.
Followed the instructions from one of the Toshiba Forums
Info below,
the Sat Pro A200 has the Intel AHCI-Controller build in. This is not
included in Windows XP. You will get an 0x0000007B bluescreen that shows
that XP cannot identify the controller and has no driver for it.
Here is a short description how to add this driver to your RIS installation:
1. Copy all single files from the Intel Storage Manager ICH-8M 32-Bit
Floppy to your $oem$\Textmode directory.
If this directory exists you have to modify your existing txtsetup.oem
file and append/extract the AHCI driver from the txtsetup.oem file of the
F6 floppy to it (don't overwrite the txtsetup.oem file in this case!).
If this directory doesn't exists you can use the provided txtsetup.oem
file numodified.
Download the Storage Manager F6 Floppy here:
http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-f...0827133046.zip
2. Edit your Winnt.sif file (or what ever you named your answer file) and
append or edit the following sections:
MassStorageDrivers
"Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH8M-E/M)" = oem
OEMBootFiles
iaahci.cat
iaahci.inf
iastor.cat
iastor.inf
iastor.sys
license.txt
readme.txt
txtsetup.oem
