This is a plea for someone to put me out of my misery.
One of the staff members I have to deal with is basically OCD and will not shuttup about having a shortcut to Windows Explorer (not internet explorer!) on her desktop.
For the life of me I don't see what's wrong with clicking the "Folders" button in a standard window but there you go.
So, if anyone has a life saving tip for this really "important" issue please post, my sanity needs you!![]()
There's a Windows Explorer shortcut under the Accessories menu. You could copy it from there.

"Due to data security policies within the school, and to comply with County/National/Government* requirements, it is not possible to enable this option and therefore users must comply with standards set within the school"
*delete as applicable
Total twaddle, but this line has got me out of problems with the ICT illiterate before!

We create a new shortcut such as:-
explorer /n,/root/,u:\
so that uses have access directly to the location we want them to but can't go browsing all over the place - well not unless they are very clever!
