    Ultimate Boot CD - Overview

    CPUstress
    Memtest86+

That'll tell you if there are problems with the CPU or memory overheating or faults.

Get a really thick cushion and or blanket, place on your lap, turn heating up to full, force laptop down into cushion/blanket so it blocks all the vents, play candy crush for several hours (sorry mark some work)
