Who else's pupils suddenly have an urge for this crappy online game?
Am sick of seeing kids searching for it, even tho all the line rider pages are blocked!

Yep we had that about 6 months ago they have now all found pivot. but i have just set a rule that stops that file from running![]()

Yeah I think they must be talking about it via MSN as we had them all on it last week. Now it's blocked the lads are all playing the rugby game on the sports section of the bbc site so we've blocked that too :-)
lol
We also recently had an influx of Gameboy Advance and Nintendo 64 emulators being bought in on usb pens and the like so they soon got stopped as well.
ahh, we have stopped all .exe files via group policies.
Also they have been bringing in embedded flash excel files... GRRRRR!!!!!!!
Never had much call for Line Rider here - maybe it's a boy/girl thing? The games on CBBC are strangely popular though!!
The ultimate solutions to these problems?
- all teachers play these games in lessons until pupils realise that they are not getting an education and they protest by starting to read course books, completing their work, etc.
- you run a GCSE course on games, it becomes acceptable to play games and therefore uncool so kids stop playing.
- you pull the plug on all of the computers and go back to paper based lessons (and hangman!)
I always seem to block sites that have line rider but the next day a new version of line rider is always getting played and to be honest some of the kids here can draw up some serious courses. im not going to lie, ive tried the game myself at home and it takes some skill to complete a course, if you manage to build a decent enough without the man falling to his death!
Have a look at some of the ones on youtube (I'm cynical about whether they're all genuine, though...)Originally Posted by aliv25

Ive seen some, they all look too good to have been created by a pupil / student. the sound effects make me laugh though "yipee!" :-)
Most of ours have moved away from linerider, and are playing Armadillo Run off USB drives or trying to run it off their user drives. Funnily enough, it never lasts on their user drives long (which sucks for them, since they have to re-do the same levels over and over again).
We had the kids playing LineRider about 6 months ago... they love playing the Chopper game now. I also love to remotely-control their workstations and crash the helicopter when they are doing well.
Give it a try.... HOURS OF FUN!!!
That's a good idea. I used to play the game myself. It's quite addictive.Originally Posted by bandgeekmafia78
Dont know about you guys but do you also find that the kids also love to play Bubble Struggle? I've seen a few kids on level 24 and Im not going to lie, I've tried at home and managed to only get up to level 6?!!!Originally Posted by bandgeekmafia78
