I'm currently working on a number of Clevo T200C notebooks - they are circa 4 years old and running Win XP Pro. They have 30GB Hard Disks and 256MB of 200 pin SODIMM DDR 266 memory. There are two banks and the 256MB is in one of them. A Crucial search suggests that that's the maximum memory that can be installed. I have tried adding another 256MB borrowed from another machine but only the original 256MB is recognised. The data sheet from Clevo says that the momory is expandable to 2GB. Anyone experience of this please?

I also need to source a replacement 2.5 inch Ultra DMA 66/100 IDE HD.
