Search Assistant disabled
Hello,
I have a GPO that Locks down Windows Explorer. I had removed the "Search" button, but have been asked to put it back for an OCR course (?).
I have put the button back, but when logged in as a restricted user the button does nothing.
I assume I have it locked down with a software restriction (I have a lot of them and they were done some time ago).
Can anyone tell me off the top of their head what restiction is in place stopping the Search Assisstant from being active? Where is the ap located in Windows?
Thanks all,
Ben

As far as I'm aware it is just the policy to remove it from the Start Menu.
Admin Templates > Remove Search menu from Start Menu
Why that stops the button working in a window I have no idea, but it does.
