    CHKDSK Errors

    when performing CHKDSK I get the following errors:

    File Record Segment 6800 is unreadable
    File Record Segment 6801 is unreadable
    File Record Segment 6802 is unreadable
    File Record Segment 6803 is unreadable

    ideas anyone?

    what switch are you using with chkdsk ?

    You tried chkdsk /r

    Sounds like your hard drive may have bad blocks / sectors or is on its way out, that or you need to use an 80 pin IDE cable unless your hard drive is SATA.
