I have had someone come to me this morning with a load of Publisher 97 files she created ages ago. Now, of course they are using Publisher 2003 now and a load of the documents are not displaying correctly becasue it complains that some of the fonts are missing.
Is there a quick fix/work around for this becasue she has loads of this publisher 97 files and does not want to re-create them.
She has tried the option of substituting the fonts option but soem do not work.
If you know what version of windows these files were created on then you should be able to install the same set of fonts.
However I have come across this problem here where documents were created using fonts that originally came from other applications (Serif products in particular) that are no longer on our systems.
The only option I can see is to build a list of missing fonts and then locate and install them...bummer
I have got a pretty large font collection here so if you send me a list I can try to find what you need.
