    ASP connection to Exchange

Is there anything special I have to do to exchange to get it to allow connections from ASP pages? Had a few intranet pages that used out old email server to send out messages. Changed to exchange and forgot about them as they appeared to be working. Just changed the code to point to the new server and it isn't happy at all.

So code is all OK, only changed the server name to contact and it stops. I can telnet to port 25 so that is working, just the page fails at the sending mail point.

    any ideas?

    Re: ASP connection to Exchange

Just to answer my own question, eventually tracked it down to the Item(cdoSMTPAuthenticate) property of the CDO Configuration. For a normal SMTP server it was cdoBasic but for Exchange it seems to need to be none.

    Hurrah, all working now
