Help!
Something seems to have gone very wrong with our network
We are currently using Roaming Profiles for all students as WinSuite does not seem to like either mandatory profiles or default user profiles! Then again WinSuite seem to break a few GPO's as well but that's another story.
Recently it seems that for any new account created, no roaming profile is created. Windows errors on logon saying that no roaming profile is available and the user will be logged in with a temporary local profile. When the user logs off no roaming profile is created on the server.
So far I have checked:
The 'Prevent Changes to Server' setting in the Computer GPO (Admin, System, Profiles).
The permissions on the profile share - both share permission and folder security set to everyone with full permissions.
I've changed the location of the profile share for a test account, with the same full permissions.
Adding a Default User logon to NETLOGON
Removed WinSuite from a test classroom computer, and tried without WinSuite.
Nothing seems to work. Today I'm going to try:
Uninstalling the User Profile Hive Cleaner program, incase that is casing the problem.
Disable anything to do with removing roaming profiles at logoff
Synchronising logon scripts.
Can anyone suggest anywhere else I can look for a solution to this problem?
Thanks
Terry

Well, er, sorry for the panic!
It appears everything is suddenly fine now? WinSuite is loading the Default User profile at logon and New User profiles are being saved to the server!
My theory is the 'prevent changes to server' GPO needed to wait the night before applying, despite me desperately trying to force a GPO update on various classroom PC's yesterday.
I can sleep now to the next dire emergency....
Terry.
