Our local LEA broadband supplier last weekend introduced a new security software called NetSweeper. It is causing us all sorts of grief. Stopping sites it should'nt do and won't let me download anything from Microsoft. All the schools are complaining about it and they said "they are working on it"
I need the Group Policy Management Console with SP1 urgent. GPO MGMT SP1 I had to reformat my workstation and cannot download a copy.
Could some one please do this for me, zip it and send it in a mail to :
tosca925ATyahoo.co.uk
Please, Please

All the techies in your area should ask for relaxed filtering on specific IP's I'd say...
At least, thats we did in Powys, and fair play - it was sorted out well.
One example:
*especially* if you cant access MS stuff - because that would possibly mean no WU and not hotfixes - so regarding that aspect they either need to give full access to all regarding the MS sites [exceot msn of course hehe] or allow you specific IP addresses that can have pretty much everything allowed [except porn of course hehe] so you can set up a WSUS to do the updating.
Cheers

We here in the London Area have had Netsweeper from the start. It does not (currently) block any downloads and we have the ability to manage our own allow/deny profiles. However, the strong rumour is that each profile has a limited number of slots for these exceptions.
Speak to your LEA/ISP and ask, nay demand your username and password.
If I can be of help on Netsweeper, please ask and I will do my best.
