Remove Print Icon
Does anybody know how I might be able to remove the print icon from the toolbar of Office applications en masse? We have a lot of kids who click on it, and then realise that it has printed to the default printer miles away. It would be better if we forced them to go File -> Print instead.
I know I could do each computer individually, but I was hoping there was a nice easy way to do it through scripting, or through a mimic script.
Cheers

Could you not just set the default printer to the local one?
That would be easier to script.

You can use the Office ADM in Active Directory, under each programs restrictions > disable icons in user interface > custom
You need the command id for the icon to remove, and you use a macro to find that.
I've done it a while ago and so KNOW it's one of: 2521, 3738 or 777

I have done this by editing the toolbar and using the alternate print button which opens the print select box instead of printing automatically.
This is stored in the Normal.dot template on a network share.
A script then copies this template to the users profile at logon.
This also resets the template and gets rid of any daft changes that have been made...
