How to download all Hotfixes for XP-Pro SP2 for later use?
Hi, I have been looking at ways to distribute prebuilt XP Pro SP2 (Volume Edition) , one of these ways using "nLite" require me to have all the Hotfixes downloaded ready to be slipstreamed into the build.
How exactly do I download all hot fixes? I have had a look at
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/catalog
Which seems like half of the answer I need, but I am not sure how to filter XP Pro hotfixes. Is there a list (somewhere) of what must be downloaded? How can I be sure I have everything?
Best Regards.
Roland

Windows Updates Downloader
http://wud.jcarle.com/
"WUD allows you to download all of the current Windows Updates using a simple interface. All of the updates are contained in Update Lists (ULs) which allows you to choose which updates you want for which version of Windows. Once WUD has complete it's downloads, you simply integrate them into your Windows source using one of the many popular tools such as nLite."

Have a look at the Heise offline update tool - now that Autopatcher is gone (RIP
) it's the next best thing IMHO. Fire it up, it downloads all XP updates from the MS site then creates an ISO image of a disk ready to install them automatically for you (not slipstreamed media, an autopatcher style updater) - however, you could opt to not create the disk and just use the downloaded updates in your nLite build.
