Printer Spooler Failing on XP and 2003

Right guys,

I have random workstations and servers with a failing printer spooler service, doesn't affect the printer server, and is completely random to which Computers it affects.

I have tried Deleting All Printer and running the clean spooler program from the microsoft resource kit.

Cannot Seem to Fix it.

Any ideas

You have a buggy printer driver.

But all the printers are deleted, and none of them are local so how can it fail on the network connection and be fine on the server that has them installed

Having not written the bug that is biting you, I cannot illustrate the exact circumstances that will trigger it.

@BKGarry, has this just started since you have started the new school year? Interestingly enough, my laptop and my technicians have both developed this symptom. Been fine all summer, but suddenly started after a recent MS Patch. I thought it was our printer server, but nothing on that. Logs are clean.

Na purely on a new install laptop, at the moment, i am going crazy trying to get it workin

My bad. I put two printers on the same IP address. Tidying up the printer IP's over Summer Hols and put my own one on the same IP as the Home Economics. I'm such a noob.
