Hi there
Just installed and configured a Windows 2000 system for deployment, sysprep'd it, shut it down, then it occured to me that in order to use Norton Ghost 10.0 to backup a system, you have to run it from windows... or do you?
How can I create a norton ghost image of my drive WITHOUT being in windows, because obviously now i've sysprep'd the machine, I cannot boot back into windows until I've made an image of the HD.
Help!!
Edit: Note booting from the CD only gives me options to RESTORE a previous backup.

If you have Ghost on another PC:
1) use the boot disk creator to make a set of boot disks/cd/usb stick/etc to boot off with the right drivers.
2) manually run the ghostcast server and setup a image creation session
3) boot of your boot disks and join the session
3) start the session on the ghostcast server.

Re: Norton Ghost from Boot CD?! HELP!
You can download PDFs from the Symantec support website.
Look for the Ghost Implentation Guide or something like that.
