We have ranger remote control on all student machines, which I believe is based on netsuppot school. Good product, does most things you would expect of a remote support package.

Netsupport based something or other i think we had.
Dameware is built on VNC and uses far more processor on each of the machines it has the client running on than VNC does (or so I was told by an analyst)......

If it's an issue you can set the agent so it only runs when you connect to it. You can do this either via the MSI builder or the next time you connect. The only thing I didn't like about VNC (which ever derivation of it you used) was it always felt sluggish. Dameware feels more responsive even over unreliable/high latency wan links (cough the LEA's cough)
Doesn't bother me...I don't have to use it :P

I still say NetSupport Manager rocks! Can't fault it at all.
We use crosstec schoolvue. its not perfect though
