Hi there ...
I am being asked by certain staff members that they would like the view in explorer to be details view as standard, a view which I use as standard. As staff, they are restricted from the folder options tools menu item.
Is it possible to apply a template to the user(Better group) to apply those settings via AD when they logon.
Cheers

If you have a user.dat or user.man applied to your users then you can do it in here.
Other than that, dunno, but there must be a registry value that changes.
It's a good idea, I might look around to do this for our staff/students too.
The annoying thing I get (that is associated) is the desktop windows all open in new windows... bugs the hell out of me, but no-one else seems as bothered.
