Interesting article. I;ve played around with the Beta but as with most things its a waste of time till they do the first release and service pack to get a good feel. The new backup facilities look good and the new kernel should (lol) be more secure.
I can hear the >root people laughing their pipes out of their mouths as the prospect of a new windows version.
Sorry, still not impressed. Most things there can be achieved with XP already or are simply features that have been ported. There's nothing in that article I paticularly would need in a school enviroment.
At home, yes, I might need DirectX 10 for my gaming at some point. However I fully expect it will be released for XP anyway (like a lot of Vista's other features).
