About two years ago, yes. We moved on a long time ago though.

Skipped right over it, for the most part. "Down"graded to XP on any new machines that came with it at the time. Our techs and I had it on our machines for a while but jumped ship for 7 pretty much at RTM time.

Not really. The original release was like all original release Windows, pretty buggy and slow on the contemporary hardware at the time. Driver support was patchy and to say the least, it had its quirks. It was horribly insecure too, Bill Gates ended up apologising for how bad it was. Things improved with SP1 but it wasn't until SP2 that it really began to hit its stride.

Vista was a trainwreck but it had some improvements over XP. 7 is/was a refinement of Vista (effectively Vista SP3 really) and was much better than XP from the off.

XP was a good operating system for its time but people look at things through rose tinted spectacles far too much.

    Anyway,

In answer to the original question:

No. Thank the Lords of Kobol.

Greifidy, necromancing going on here but it's the same story. We are now using 8.1 in new images and there are a bunch of people still yearning for the good old days of Windows 7, which I am embarrassed to say some schools are only just implementing now, I hate to think what they will do when they hear about the use of electricity instead of coal.
