get my line input to play through my speakers

I have windows vista ultimate and want to use my line input to play the sound from my xbox 360 through my computers speakers. The issue I have is the line in will not play. I can play regular sound from my computer just fine and record off of the line in but I cannot get it to play through.

I do have the latest drivers and updates installed and working correctly.

Have you had a look at the levels that are set when you click 'Mixer'

Is it possible that one of your levels may be set to low/mute?
