Rep Power: 8 | They have, but they've been reluctant to roll it out to a couple of IT Rooms for testing. |

Rep Power: 10 | I downloaded the images last week and updated my home PC over the weekend. It took quite a while as I was doing an upgrade (god I hate upgrading) and I need to delete a few programs including daemon tools and nero but it eventually went on. After the install I had to reinstall AVG and AVG spyware and zonealarm doesn't work but everything else seems to be okay, oh except google toolbar which throws up errors all the time when you close IE7 browser. Nice things I've found thats good. Aero desktop is very nice, the switch between windows taskbar icon is good, the sidebar is okay (memory hog though) and the whole design looks alot slicker than XP. Some of the group policy settings look useful. The Windows firewall and advanced setting is an easier way to use Ipsec looks interesting. I seem to have lots of different langauges available in the classic ADM too for some reason. Love the thumbnails when you select mouse over an miminised windows. Seems very user friendly. Things I ain't keen on. Resource hog. My games hate it. I got it to crash twice within 6 hours which is better than most Microsoft Os's prior to SP1. The new all programs menu which lives in a box, pain in the arse when you have more than 20 items, and its slow. Defrag is harder to find although you can schedule it. No quick user switching, although thats cos of the version I installed. Help and Support gives me IE7 errors so I don't have any help available. Can't see me putting it anywhere near my school for a few years, especially as the start menu redirector doesn't work. Still like it though. |

Rep Power: 24 | I have put Ultimate RTM on my machine at home (As a MS Tester of it I got a full retail copy of Ultimate edition as a gift), I am highly impressed with it. I love the thumbnails, Aero, Flip 3D, Side bar, I find it uses less memory than XP, runs quicker and smoother, and in general seems more polished in a way than XP, even though that is well done. |

Rep Power: 8 | Nero works fine for me, can't comment about the other two items. Booting to desktop is generally 45 seconds quicker on my test machine. |

Rep Power: 8 | Loving it so far, although my Nvidia based cards dont play games properly without heavy artifacting and corruption. However my ATI card based machines are running my games perfectly, put it down to crappy Nvidia drivers |

Boot from DVD gives "cannot find BootMgr" error and if put into windows it just gives me a readme.txt file about UDF format. What did I do wrong? |
